Recently we held our inaugural Lias Line guided ride.
16 people took part in the 7 mile ride which started and finished at The Two Boats pub in Long Itchington.
Along the way we stopped at places of interest where our guide, Simon, spoke about the history, nature and future plans for Warwickshire’s longest Greenway.
We managed to avoid the really windy weather that hit the area in the morning of the ride, but we did get rained on a few times, sometimes quite heavy, but the 16 riders took it in their stride.
The clouds parted from time to time, and the second half of the ride was in glorious clear skies.
Everyone said how much much they enjoyed the ride and that they had learned new things and felt inspired to come back and explore the Greenway further on their own.
When we returned we enjoyed some special discounted treats provided by Rich and Sarah at the pub.
If you would like to join us for a future ride, do get in touch, we can cater for specific groups like children’s groups (scouts, girl guides etc), female only, ethnic minorities, groups of friends, workplaces…… the list is endless!!!
Massive thanks to Dawn Rahman for volunteering.
