On the 3rd October 2023 Warwickshire and Solihull Community and Voluntary Action (CAVA) held a volunteer awards celebration to recognise the contributions made by both individual and group volunteers who make a difference to the communities of Stratford and Warwick Districts. The event was held in the Old Shire Hall Ballroom at Warwickshire County Council in Warwick and sponsored by Warwickshire County Council, Warwick District Council Silvertime Legal Services Ltd, Associated Telecom, LinkIT Advanced Solutions, Mid-Counties Cooperative, Sharp and WCAVA.
I’m extremely proud to announce that we didn’t win an award . . . . . . we won 2!!!!!!
I won the individual award for sport and leisure category for my work with The Bicycle Bus and coaching at Stratford Juniors Cycling Club.
Also The Bicycle Bus won the group award for the environmental category!
This is just more vindication that the work we are doing is needed, valued and good for the community. I was pleased to attend the ceremony with Dawn Rahman our fantastic volunteer on The Bicycle Bus who has been helping us from day 1.
